About us
The Nuxoll Research Group engineers composite materials exhibiting tunable rate processes to solve a wide variety of problems, most commonly medical device problems. For instance, by manipulating the diffusion and reaction rates of reactive membranes, we build simple polymer laminates that release drug pulses in pre-programmed intervals. By careful integration of magnetic nanoparticles into polymer films, we build coatings that can be heated rapidly and wirelessly to mitigate bacterial biofilm infections.
