Joe McCleary is an undergraduate student in chemical engineering from Muscatine, Iowa, who joined the lab in December 2025. He is a pre-med who hopes to be able to stay in Iowa City and get into Carver. His focus is quantifying the free dispersion of Staph auerus with and without thermoelectric shocks. Outside of the lab, he enjoys exercising, watching sports, country music, cooking, and playing card games.
